Kyoto is literally so full of old temples and shrines, it’s almost hopeless to keep count.
I shot this photo of a miko (shinto priestess) at a shrine somewhere in Kyoto the other week.
I LOVE the look of B&W film. It has a richness and depth that I haven’t been able to coax out of digital. I also think B&W is a very pure way to capture an object. Without the clutter of color confusing the eye and brain, you are free to take in the essence of an image more easily
