This is a follow up to this post.
As I was walking around shooting night photos of my city yet again when I saw some of the same girls that I had shot from a distance previously. I decided to pass by them and take a closer shot.
I like this photo, it is much more “human” than the previous one I posted.
I talk about these girls in my previous post. They are essentially hostesses (aka スナック “snack”) bars which are small bars where Japanese men can go to drink and receive some artificial attention. While possibly seeming shady to westerners, there is no sex or prostitution involved, even though that is the image that girls “working on the street corner” bring to mind.
